Google have just announced officially that they are working on an OS, named Google Chrome OS. There have been rumors about the OS Google have been designing for long, but now it's confirmed!
Google says their OS is to attempt to re-think what operating systems should be.
Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks. The main features of he product will be speed, simplicity and security. Google aims to make the Chrome OS very fast, lightweight, with a minimal interface, and with the ability to boot you to the web in just a few seconds.
Google Chrome OS will be available in the second half of 2010.
