droprecord – Free File Distribution Service

droprecord is a new file distribution service which allows you to upload files of up to 500MB in size to their servers and they do the job of distributing it to other file hosts like Rapidshare, MegaUpload, EasyShare, DepositFiles, ZShare, FileFactory, FlyUpload, SendSpace, ZippyShare, Badongo, NetLoad, Loadto, MediaFire, MegaShare, HotFile and TwoShared.

All the uploads are done simultaneously to reduce time needed to generate the links.  Once uploaded, you get a link to bookmark which you can bookmark to check the progress of uploads to the file hosting websites.

To give you an idea of how things are done, here’s a little example of a file which I’ve uploaded.  I’ve chosen to upload timetable.jpg.  You need to browse for the file and hit the upload button.

The page will upload to show the progress of the  upload as it can be seen above.  After that you will be given a link to the page where you will be able to monitor the progress of the uploads to the other servers.

Finally, when you click the link to the progress page, you will get the progress status of either “success”, “upload” or “failed”.  To get the link for a specific file host for your file, just click the “Click Here” link besides its name to get to the download page.

That’s it.  This web service looks very promising for creating mirrors of files to file sharing hosts.
